Quote(s) of the Day: It's that time of the year to check river Temps!
Justin was in town from Georgia and wanted to get out and fish a day on the local creeks close to Denver. This was Justin's first time ever fly fishing and we spent the majority of the day going over all the techniques necessary to be self efficient. Unfortunately with drought conditions that Colorado is experiencing, water Temps are extremely high. Make sure to bring a thermometer and be off the water when the river or creek gets in to the high 60's. The most action we saw was until 11 AM on the local waters of Bear Creek near Evergreen. After 11 AM the fishing really turned off. Luckily, Justin and I had a great day and he walked away a better angler! Look for conditions to be the same the remainder of July and hope for rain!

Clear skies and 60+ degree weather. The water temperature was between 60+ degrees and Crystal Clear. The fishing is fair.
