Notes:
Given the colder weather that has been hanging around Colorado, we were given a pretty nice day for fly fishing today. The fish are in winter mode right now which means going small with your flies of choice, lighter tipper and longer leaders. During the late morning hours we hooked into what seemed to be a nice fat winter fish but quickly rid our nymph from its mouth. Shortly after we were able to bag a small brown. After moving down river we put a nice 15" rainbow to net that crushed a size 20 micro worm. The key to being successful during this time of year is to get down deep where the fish are concentrated and set on any little twitch or pause.

Clear skies and 36-39 degree weather. The water temperature was between 32-35 degrees and Crystal Clear. The fishing is fair.
