Quote(s) of the Day: Great day on the water with great company!
Erik had some experience fly fishing but it was Lexie's first time with a fly rod. The couple was in town for a get-a-way weekend to escape the daily grind. Lexie caught her first rainbow trout on a fly rod while learning to cast early in the day, then landed another rainbow which unfortunately fish flopped before it's photo debut. Erik landed three nice sucker fish, including the biggest fish of the day. The competition was fierce! Flows were down after the weekend precipitation so we fished the deeper pools and faster runs. Fish were eating eggs and midges with the occasional San Juan worm. Great couple and a great day on the river! Looking forward to seeing them again!

Clear skies and 52-55 degree weather. The water temperature was between 44-47 degrees and Stained. The fishing is good.
