Notes:
What an awesome day on Bear creek with Katy and her dad mark, both who are new to the sport of flyfishing and wanted to get the ball rolling on some wild trout in an awesome setting. With the recent rains and snow melt from the influx of warm weather the past few days the fishery has turned a little of color and running very cold. But the fish are willing to eat, are starting to look up we started off the day with the classic hopper rig this proved to be the trick all through the day. We are starting to see the fish really spread out and occupy the whole river so a rig that can fish everywhere was vital in locating fish. Caddis pupas were a big factor for putting fish in the net with either a parachute Adam's or a small terrestrial on top.

Clear skies and 52-55 degree weather. The water temperature was between 36-39 degrees and Slightly Off. The fishing is fair.
