Quote(s) of the Day: Look at the colors on that bow!
Rusty and Tom met me near Deckers on the S. Platte early Sunday morning. It was Rusty's birthday, and he wanted to spend some time on the river chasing trout. And that's just what we did. The recent drop in flows and sudden change in the weather had made the fish tight lipped. We sighted many trout but fooling them to eat was a challenge. Both Rusty and Tom managed several hook ups, and in the end brought two fish to net. It was a great day spent on the water with new friends. Hope to get out there again with you guys soon.

Overcast skies and 48-51 degree weather. The water temperature was between 40-43 degrees and Crystal Clear. Our guides say to try nymph fishing with a bright red or pink San Juan Worm (size 16).   The fishing is slow.
